The Paxton Carnegie Library will present a Family Film Festival on Friday, September 13th.  Beginning at 7pm, there will be showings of “Beginning of the End, starring Peter Graves and Peggy Castle.  This 1957 classic horror film has been requested by many in the area, as it contains references to Paxton, Rantoul, Ludlow, and Champaign.  This will be followed by “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” from 1956.  Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter star in this super-scary movie that will have you wondering which of your neighbors are actually “pod people.”

Both films will be shown on a large screen in the library’s rotunda on Friday night, a time when the library is normally closed.  It’s a Double Creature Feature!  All ages are invited to stop by and enjoy this free program, which features scary old movies and free popcorn.  Whether you are superstitious or not, it’s a great way to spend Friday the 13th!
