Online Again

The LINC Catalog is once again accessible.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the LINC System is not operating at this time, and borrowers are unable to access the online catalog. Repairs are being made, and all Lincoln Trail Libraries System facilities will offer full service once again in the very near future.

Library visitors may still check out materials and use the Internet at the Paxton Carnegie Library.

Puppet Show!

Preschool Story Hour Join us at 10am Thursday, April 7th, for a puppet show! This week, it's the debut of Zomo the Rabbit, a West African Trickster Tale. Preschool children and their parents or caregivers are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Board Meeting

The Paxton Carnegie Library Board of Trustees will meet at the library Wednesday, March 2nd, at 7pm. The agenda will include a discussion on library furniture and equipment.

Library History

Services

The Paxton Carnegie Library provides over 24,000 volumes, 60 periodicals, local and national newspapers, 500 audio books, and over 1,000 DVDs and videos. There are 5 public computers with internet access and wifi, as well as microfilm, large print items, city and county history, Spanish-language materials and American Sign Language books and videos, fax and copy machines, a drive-up book drop. The library is completely accessible, with a ramp and elevator at the side entrance.

All residents of the City of Paxton may secure a library card without fee. Non-residents pay an annual fee. Borrower cards are not transferable and must be presented each time library materials are checked out. Paxton Carnegie Library is an active member of the Illinois Heartland Library System, dedicated to the service of the community of Paxton.
