Thanks For Giving

Our Preschool Story Hour was extra-special this week, thanks to the Paxton Rotary!
Rotary Club members, Kathy Swan, Nancy Ecker, and Regina Stefanelli read holiday stories to the children and helped out with Thanksgiving theme activities. The Story Hour gang drew colorful turkeys and put together Harvest Blessing snack bags to share.

Librarians from Latvia

The Paxton Carnegie Library welcomed visiting librarians from Latvia along with representatives of the Mortenson Center for International Library Programs. Latvia is located in northeastern Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea, between Sweden and Russia. The librarians saw a Punch & Judy puppet show during Story Hour and made their own hand puppets to take home. After a tour of the library, they enjoyed lunch at the Tin Pan with Mayor Bill Ingold and Library Board President Flavel Heyman. Next, the librarians visited PBL High School, where they visited with Doug Anderson in the ag department, junior high librarian Mary Dulaney, and Dave Harber and Diane Mueller in the high school library.
