Lego my Lego!

Join us for Lego club today!  We meet from 3:30 to 4:30, on the last Monday of each month to build with Legos.  Kids in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome. Younger siblings can play too, if they bring along a parent. We've got Legos, Duplos, and even Baby Duplo Blocks.

Free Workshop

Would you like to be able to take better photos? Photographer, Erich Adickes, will present a free workshop on iPhone photography Thursday, September 24, at 6:30pm at Paxton Carnegie Library. Erich will give a brief presentation, highlighting some simple, yet hidden, techniques for taking better photos with your iPhone. This will be followed by a question-and-answer time, so be sure to bring along your questions and your phone!

Meeting Postponed

The Paxton Carnegie Library Board of Trustees meeting has been postponed to Wednesday, September 9th. The board will meet at 7 pm, the basement program room.

LEGO CLUB!

LEGO CLUB

Lego Club meets at the library on the last Monday of every month. Kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to drop in at the library from 3:30 to 4:30pm to build with Legos. It's just for fun, non-competitive and, best of all, free!  Younger siblings may attend with an adult. The next Lego Club meeting will be Monday, August 31. We'll provide the Legos, you provide imagination!

STORY HOUR

Join us for Preschool Story Hour every Thursday at 10am, beginning August 20th. We'll read old and new stories, play games, and meet new friends at the library. All children must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or other caregiver.

Lego Club

Check out these new Lego Creations!  Our final Lego Club meeting will be Tuesday, May 26 (because Monday is Memorial Day.)  After May 26, Lego Club will return in the fall.

Hey! Tomorrow is Lego Day!  Kids in grades K - 5, join us at the library for Lego Club from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.  We get together on the last Monday of each month to hang out with our friends and build cool stuff with Legos. Pictures of your creations will go up on this blog and on Facebook too!  Little brothers and sisters (accompanied by an adult,) are welcome to build with Duplos and Baby Legos in the children's library while we build in the library meeting room.  See you there!

The library will be closed Friday, April 3, and will be open once again Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Almost time for Lego Club!!!

Children in grades K – 5 are invited to join our Library Lego Club. From 3:30 to 4:30 pm on Monday, March 30th, kids can build with Legos and Duplos. This is a free, non-competitive club that meets on the last Monday of each month.

Tech Talk

Still trying to figure out that new iPad, Kindle, or Nook you got for Christmas this year (or last year?)  Join us for Tech Talk, a new informal discussion group meeting at 2 pm, Wednesday, February 18^th, at the Paxton Carnegie Library. Bring in a device, and we’ll exchange ideas.  You will also have a chance to review how to download ebooks and audiobooks from Media Mall and 3M, using your library barcode.  There is no charge for the program; we’ll just all get together to learn.  Anyone who is already tech-savvy is invited too. Please join us and share your expertise!
